Dr Chan, Director General of the World Health Organisation shows her support for the Global Week of Action.2012-11-05 With 2 weeks to go until the Global Week of Action, Child Health Now are delighted to be able to share with you a video message of support from Dr Chan. In her statement Dr Chan highlights the importance of international aid and the impact it has had on the drop in the number of child deaths worldwide. Dr Chan goes on to pledge her support for the Global Week of Action and the focus to urgently address the nearly 7 million child deaths every year from causes that are readily and inexpensively managed. She closes with a poignant message that “Every one of these young lives is precious.
