We made a noise for child health on Sunday 5th May
Every day 19,000 children under the age of five die from preventable causes like pneumonia, diarrhoea or malaria. The outrage is that each of these "major killers" can be easily addressed and prevented through simple, tried and tested solutions. What is needed is urgent action to fulfil the commitments by governments - and everyone - from individuals to the prviate sector - can be involved.
On Sunday 5th May (5/5) we made a noise about this situation. We brought our collective voices together to raise awareness of the challenges children face in reaching their fifth birthday - all under the banner of “Survive 5 day.”
Survive 5 Day Highlights:
- A total of 33 World Vision offices in 32 countries participated;
