World Vision US Launches #HUNGERFREE Social Media CampaignAs part of their public engagement strategy around the G8, World Vision United States is launching a new social media platform targeting youth and young adults. Launched on April 30, The HungerFree Challenge provides a platform for young people to share their vision for a hunger free world through art, photography, prayers, actions and commitments, poetry, video messages, and other creative expressions.

In addition, through the web portal, young people are challenged to connect their Facebook profile to the campaign, sharing their actions through the ACT’s platform, and addressing global leaders through regular Twitter feeds. During the week of the G8, examples of the uploaded artwork will be used to create “Art and Activism” exhibit in Washington DC.

The CHN Team asks it’s global network to help promote this campaign to social media contacts and by visting the HungerFree website, viewing the video, and posting photos and video of young people creating art or advocating for a hunger free world.

  1. Change your Facebook profile or timeline photo to the HungerFree. Download artwork here.
  2. Get creative! Visit the website, www.hungerfree.org (where you will be redirected to upload your art creations onto the ACT:S website (www.worldvisionacts.org).
